| | Allison Heindl‘s brothers have been suffering through dance recitals since she was three. Allison trained at Mississippi Ballet Theatre under the direction of Susan Stowe and Lesa Roman. While in high school, Allison began to teach classes at MBT. She attended dance workshops including Al Gilbert’s Teacher Seminars and Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Dance Intensive. Throughout high school and college Allison taught dance and colorguard for high school bands and dance teams throughout the south. Allison was a member of Final Analysis Winterguard, and performed with Forte Winterguard in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Allison was a Dixie Darling at the University of Southern Mississippi where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After travelling as a nurse, Allison returned home to Clinton and to her love of dance. Allison has been the Director of MBT for five years.
Courtney Hogue began her dance career in Greensboro, North Carolina where she grew up. She was a competitive gymnast until the age of 12. Then she focused solely on dance, training and performing with the Ekklesia Dance Company. As an Ekklesia member, she toured in Canada, the Bahamas, Disney World, and performed at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Courtney also competed in Regional and National dance competitions. She attended the renowned and competitive NC School of the Arts Summer Program in Winston-Salem, NC. After high school, Courtney moved to Jackson to attend Belhaven College. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in dance in 2001. She also received the dance department’s Daniel Award for academic excellence. Courtney danced professionally with Polarity Dance Theatre, a contemporary ballet company. She has continued her training through master classes and workshops.
